Champions/1960/Spring Neighborhood

gleannloch_farms_houston_tx_200Making up the third area of Houston's northwest is the land between Highways 249 and I-45.  The "Champions" was the northwest's first subdivision 30 years ago and the area retains the name. Giving impetus to growth were Houston's Intercontinental Airport and the Beltway 8 Sam Houston Tollway. Other subdivisions followed, including Olde Oaks and Champions Forest with homes priced from the $100,000s to $1 million or more. Other notable subdivisions are Northgate Forest, Huntwick, Wibledon and Augusta Pines. Country clubs and golf courses abound in the  area, and the shopping is excellent, with Willowbrook Mall and the Greenspoint Mall just minutes away.
