Capitol Lofts-The Capitol Lofts were constructed in the early 1900s as the M.E Foster capitol_256 building  and it served as office and retail space for many years. In 1998, it was sold and redesigned as residentail lofts. All lofts in this 10 floor building have high end finishes, top of the line appliances and are either one or two story with at least one balcony. Penthouse residences are also available. franklin_lofts_2Franklin Lofts -Originally built in 1905 and started out as the First National Bank Building. This eight -story, neo-classical style building was the first steel framed structure in Houston and was originally touted as Houston's first skyscraper. Located on the Metro Rail line with views to Buffalo Bayou, the upper floors have been transformed into 62 luxury loft condominiums rabging in size from 885 to 2,446 squaree feet. The lofts feature original 10 foot windows, 11-20 foot ceilings, exposed brick walls and hardwood floors. All lofts are equipped with all the modern conveniences, telecommunication and energy efficiency of new construction. The first floor and mezzanine level opened in October 2002 as The Corinthian, one of Houston's grandest party venues and named for  the many Corinthian columns.

Byrds Lofts -Designed by well-known architect Joseph Finger and built in 1934. After a long period of neglect, this three-story historic building was converted to five luxury lofts on the second and third floors, with retail space at the street level. The project was completed in 2006. The five Byrd's Lofts feature amazing, high-end finishes and share a 3,500 SF urban oasis rooftop with landscaped redwood deck, grill room, bar and wide views of downtown Houston. Designated as a City of Houston Historic Landmark; National Register of Historic Places and a GHPA (Greater Houston Preservation Alliance) Good Brick award winner in 2006.

It was one of the first loft buildings in downtown Houston, completed in 1998. It is also one of the smaller loft buildings downtown with 34 units on 10 floors. Located two blocks from the metro Rail line and within walking distance to Minute Maid Park, theaters and the Toyota Center. Amenities include 10 ft ceilings, hardwood floors, whirlpool tubs and granite countertops. The HOA fee also includes electricity.

St. Germain Lofts -Built around 1911, this historic building was formerly the home of S.H Kressst._germain_2_256_01 & Co. store. City View Lofts - Originally built in 1910 for the nabisco cookie factory and then sold in 1949 city_view_lofts_2_150_01 to  Purse and Co., a wholesale furniture dealer. The five story building sits in the shadow of Minute Maid Park and was recently converted into 57 units, each with high end finishes and amenities. Prices are good and the HOA fees are low compared to other loft buildings in downtown Houston. The building was designated a City of Houston landmark in 1998.
