The Woodlands, Tx- An outstanding Houston suburb
Posted by Erika McCann on Monday, September 7th, 2009 at 9:06pm.As a Montrose/Midtown dweller, I have to say that most of the time I believe that living inside the "Loop" affords one the luxury of being in the middle of the best that Houston has to offer. The best restaurants, theater, museums, sports etc.
I will admit that everytime I am in The Woodlands, either for showing homes or just to visit, I always leave feeling that I would love to live there. From the moment you enter, you notice the lack of billboards and the abundance of trees, walkways, parks and overall great planning. The Woodlands is made up of villages, each having beautiful, single family homes, great schools and all the amenities you expect from living in The Woodlands. My personal reasons to visit The Woodlands was to go to the fabulous Town Center where you can shop, eat at great restaurants (Jaspers and Brio are a few favorites) and walk around the outdoor shopping center and generally feel like you're on a mini-vacation from Houston. Steps away from the Town Center is the Woodlands Waterway a recently developed area, perfect for those that want an urban lifestyle, close to all the excitement.....something totally new for the area and an exciting new development!!The Waterway Lofts are in the Woodlands first loft/mid-rise condominium building and offers a true urban housing choice. This area also has some great brownstone style townhomes that area adjacent to the waterway. Close by is the "Garden District" or East Shore, within walking distance and offering a combination of townhomes, patio homes and single-family homes.
