I'm proud to be one of the very first Houston real estate brokers to earn the GREEN designation, the only designation of it's kind endorsed by NAR (National Association of Realtors)

Whether your green concerns extend to helping the environment, energy efficiency, indoor air quality or all three, there are many resources in Houston that will address all these concerns. As I continue building this page, I will list these resources. Also, for more info on green builders, green homes currently for sale or homes that just have energy saving features, please contact me for a list.

Many reputable builders in Houston, including Trendmaker and David Weekley (just to name a few) are building their new homes with many energy efficient features such as tech-sheild roofs, energy star rated appliances, low-e windows, tankless water heaters and much more. A few custom builders in Houston are also working with "green" architects to design homes on homesites that take into account not only energy efficiency, the use of sustainable  and eco friendly materials but also the placement on the lot to allow for maximum efficiency. Houston will also have a great LEED certified condo project scheduled to be built in Montrose along with other LEED certified townhome projects. There is also what will be the first solar powred hybrid community close to The Woodlands. This new communities' developer is partnering with GE’s Ecomagination® initiative. This program features renewable energy savings with solar power, whole-home energy efficiencies, advanced building science, water conservation and indoor air quality.  How exciting!
